Hello from Germany

Bericht  galant_e10 op do 27 aug 2009, 22:00

Hello,

I just want to introduce myself a little here in the forum:

I am living in the northern part of Germany , together with my girl friend and two kids, and fell in love with Mitsubishi in 1986/87 when my parents bought their first Mitsubishi, a Galant E10 EXE (2,4 Litre) - a great and totally reliable car. A Sigma and a Colt CJ0 came after it - and still there were no problems with them.

In 2006 I started to get my own Mitsubishi collection, first was a Galant E10.

And after that:
* Cordia (1982/83)...
* Colt (1981)...
* Lancer (1980)...
* Eclipse (1992)...

...and yes, a Celeste also. It is a series 3 version, build 12/1979, with a 4G32 engine and a manual 4-speed gearbox.

I try to add some pictures here (Celeste and Cordia), hope it will work!

Hope you understand it so far, I could not write/speak Dutch so far. Sorry.

Kind regards, Tim

Hey Tim!

Welcome on the forum! I wish you a lot of fun with reading and posting things here!

It seems you have quite a collection of nice cars! Smile

If you have any problems with Dutch or English, I understand German quite well so I can try to translate for you or to the rest of the guys...

Hey Sven,

thank you for your reply. If I understand Henk correctly, you have the rest of the red celeste at home:

http://mchc-zwolle.actie-forum.com/projecten-f6/toch-nog-even-terug-in-de-club-t173.htm

Can you tell me (or send me a picture) what parts are still there (well, I mean parts you can take off without a flex!)?

And maybe you can help me with translation of a part of this text:

http://mchc-zwolle.actie-forum.com/onderdelen-parts-for-sell-or-ask-other-type-s-mitsubishi-f8/mitsubishi-galant-1980-t177.htm

He said: " er moeten 3 plaatjes in gelast en 1 veerpoot is slecht.
voor de rest een mooie en eerlijke auto. "

So, what is bad on the car, what means 3 plaatjes and 1 veerpoot.

I got some pictures of the car, it seems quite good so far.

Thank you for any help!

Greets, Tim

Hey Tim!

No problem!

Well, the thing is that I don't have the red Celeste at my place. It's at Henk's. I bought it because I need most parts myself. Next week the car will be stripped completly and then I make a selection of things I want to keep and things which can be sold. I bought the 2000GT because I want to convert my 1600ST to a 2000GSR. The only problem is that I haven't seen the car itself yet. I will see it when we take it apart so I can't tell you yet about the condition of the parts either.

About the galant he says that you need to weld in 3 metal plates and that 1 of the shockabsorbers (for me it's not clear if it is with or without the spring) is in a bad condition.

Hey Sven,

thank you for the information - about the Celeste and the Galant.

Now the situation with the Celeste is clearer. Well I thought you have already stripped off the parts you needed and the rest of the car should go to the junkyard. The hood seems to be in bad condition but the rest looks quite well from the small pictures. There is no actual need for Celeste parts for me, but I thought, some good parts should be wrecked - and that is not a good deal anyway. So I will wait until you have inspected the parts.

Greetings, Tim

Parts red Celeste

Bericht  BlueThunder op di 01 sep 2009, 00:42

Hallo Tim

Well, the car is now completly stripped and for the moment the body has to go away ASAP. It is OK though it has a lot of corroded spots on it. Pictures are available on http://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_thunderke/sets/72157622075270597/
I don't know what you exactly need for parts but in this club there are possibilities to get most of the part(s) you are looking for...
